"Sparks in the dark" is an abstract painting that reflects the shifting states of the human mind. The black background symbolizes darkness, while orange, blue, red, grey and gold shapes capture moments of joy, calm, rage and hope. The textured white strokes represent unstable yet peaceful days, reminding us of the never-ending cycle of emotions.
“Sparks in the dark” was inspired by the emotional cycles we all experience. The black background reflects moments when the mind feels heavy and unclear. The orange represents hope and brightness, while the blue reveals calm days touched by shadow. Red embodies rage and frustration, and grey reflects difficult times that are not entirely lost. The gold sections highlight the small, intentional acts we make to create light even in the darkest moments.
The textured white strokes symbolize days of peace, yet their uneven rhythm reminds us of life’s instability—how calmness rises and falls. Together, these elements form an endless loop of emotions, where darkness and light, peace and chaos, constantly coexist.
This work is a reminder that no matter how overwhelming the cycle feels, sparks of light always break through, guiding us back toward balance.
