This relief sculpture features a butterfly set against a dark blue background, enhanced by accents of copper, gold, and silver. The design incorporates abstract motifs, including cubes, squares, and woodcut patterns, alongside electronic components. The butterfly, predominantly white, is adorned with touches of gold, ash, and silver. The overall composition blends abstract and steampunk elements, creating a dynamic interplay of color and form.
My artwork is inspired by the metamorphosis of a butterfly, illustrating its transformation from a destructive caterpillar into a beautiful creature that positively influences its environment. This process reflects the human experience, suggesting that anything or anyone with negative qualities also possesses the potential for goodness. It is only through time and circumstances that this potential can be revealed.
