Oba Repolly Akpocha is a Nigerian artist from Orogun in Ughelli North L.G.A., Delta State. He is a multidisciplinary sculptor recognized for his innovative mixed-media hybrid sculptures that seamlessly integrate wood and electronic components, resulting in intricate and thought-provoking forms. Drawing inspiration from nature, technology, and everyday life, Repolly's artistic practice delves into the dynamic interplay between the organic and the synthetic.
He holds a degree in fine and applied arts from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and has exhibited his work in various notable exhibitions, including Dreams Alive (2016), Life in My City (2017, 2019, 2024), and the Hybrid Group Exhibition (2024). In 2018, he received the Chimedie Museum Prize for Creative Excellence in Visual Arts and was acknowledged for his creative contributions during his National Youth Service Corps in Ebonyi State in 2021.
