This artwork explores humanity's concerns in our world. While the initial concept suggested dark and gloomy colors, I chose to express it through layered vibrant oranges, lemon greens, and floral elements. This choice reflects a sense of hope and the potential for positive change.
This artwork explores the psycho-emotional complexities of human existence. Inspired by a moment of reflection after a challenging week, I pondered the implications of Adam and Eve's departure from the Garden of Eden. What if they had remained obedient to God? Would our lives be devoid of struggle, with instant access to all our desires—homes, technology, health, wealth? Would we even need money?
The departure from Eden symbolizes the beginning of toil, which has led to both challenges and innovations: technology, education, problem-solving, and achievements. Conversely, it has also given rise to issues such as deceit, greed, violence, war and fear.
In considering contemporary global issues, one might question whether Eden would have offered true safety or if the complexities of our current world are preferable.
This piece invites you to contemplate the dualities of existence—the interplay of peace and chaos, love and hate, primitivity and technology, losses and gains, deceit and honesty, failure and success. It aims to transform not only thoughts but also the spaces we inhabit.
