King Jacob · Enugu · Nigeria
This piece was created in collaboration with my friend's three-year-old daughter. It was both enjoyable and challenging to work with such a talented child.
This work reflects my aspiration for children worldwide to have access to safe and inspiring outdoor play spaces. Growing up in eastern Nigeria in the early 90s, my experiences of playing on the streets and having limited access to video games fostered strong bonds with other children in my community. I aim to capture the essence of those formative moments, highlighting the importance of play in childhood development and social connection. Through this piece, I invite viewers to consider the value of creating environments that encourage interaction, creativity, and joy for children everywhere.
