This piece embodies nostalgia, inviting viewers to reflect on the carefree days of childhood. Drawing from my own memories of outdoor play, it evokes the joy and simplicity of moments when time felt suspended and teamwork began. My intention is to recreate the warmth of the sun, the laughter of friends, and the excitement of adventure.
26 Minutes from Yesterday” captures the essence of nostalgia, moving viewers back to the carefree days of childhood . Inspired by my own memories of playing outside, this piece evokes the joy and simplicity of those moments when time seemed still and the beginning of teamwork.
I aim to recreate the feeling of warmth from the sun, the laughter of friends, and the thrill of adventure. The artwork reflects a sense of freedom , running through open fields, riding bikes down the street of eastern Nigeria , and the unfiltered joy of discovering the world around us.
This piece also serves as a reminder for us to cherish our past while embracing the present. “26 Minutes from Yesterday” is not just a reflection of my childhood, it’s an invitation for others to reconnect with their own cherished memories.
