Full name: Izoduwa Judith Ero
Artist name: Ized Art
Izoduwa Ero’s artistic journey began in childhood, where her natural creativity drew classmates to her side during school art projects in collage and papier-mâché. Even then, she was recognized for her instinctive ability to transform simple materials into expressive forms. Over time, this passion matured into a dedicated practice centered on traditional drawing and painting, where every piece becomes a vessel for storytelling.
Her work is driven by the belief that to be an artist is to act as a co-creator with the Creator of the universe, bringing to light unseen dimensions of life and giving shape to emotions often left unspoken. Through her paintings, Izoduwa explores the delicate balance between what is visible and what lies beneath the surface, inviting viewers to confront feelings they might otherwise shy away from.
Rooted in both artistic sensitivity and scientific curiosity, Izoduwa often draws parallels between the structure of nature and the structure of human emotion. Just as science seeks to uncover the laws governing the physical world, her art seeks to illuminate the inner worlds of thought, memory, and feeling, reminding us that creativity and discovery are deeply intertwined.
Artist statement: My art explores the hidden landscapes of emotion, blending traditional drawing and painting with symbolism. Inspired by science, I reveal unseen patterns of the heart and mind, creating works that bridge feeling and understanding—making the invisible visible.
