Artwork story

I explored the theme of sanity and hope using yarn as an expression for the emotions. I hoped to see suffering and pain while exploring a rural area and indeed I saw it. But i felt something different, I found the presence of peace and unity and joy. The sun shining so brightly, birds chirping, and it made me remember what it felt to be safe and filled with light. It felt like "home". "Home is where your heart is not in sight" (the slums as we all call it)
