About the Artist
Full name: Adegoke Usman Ajibade Artist name: Uzgege_artz
I discovered my passion for drawing in primary school after observing a friend use shapes to create football players. Inspired by this experience, I began practicing regularly and soon recognized my potential as an artist. Despite initial criticism from my sister and a comment from my mother suggesting I had chosen a "lazy man's job," I persevered, drawing every day to improve my craft.
My professional journey began in 2019 at Paddy Art Gallery in Ibadan, where I honed my skills and expanded my artistic knowledge. Since then, I have produced numerous artworks for clients both locally and internationally, showcasing my growth and versatility. My experiences have shaped my artistic vision, allowing me to connect with a diverse audience through my creations.
Although I chose to study Architecture in school, my artistic talent has been acknowledged with three awards: LAUTASA Most Creative 2022, LAUTECH Most Creative 2023, and THE ELITE Most Creative 2025. These accolades reflect my commitment to my art and my ongoing development as an artist.
