His artistic journey commenced in secondary school with a spontaneous portrait sketch on a classroom table, igniting his passion for art. This early interest led him to pursue a degree in Fine and Applied Arts at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, where he earned a B.Tech and refined his skills in painting and drawing.

Akintunde employs oil, acrylic, charcoal, and pastel to explore themes of human emotion, spirituality, and cultural identity. His art uniquely merges African heritage with modern influences, balancing realism, abstraction, and expressive detail to produce visually striking and thought-provoking works.
